This Privacy Policy explains how Asta Chamma ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
When you use the online multiplayer feature, the app signs you in anonymously through Firebase Authentication. This creates a random, anonymous user ID (UID) — no email, phone number, or personal account is required. This UID is used solely to manage your game session.
When joining or hosting an online room, you enter a display name of your choice. This name is stored temporarily in Cloud Firestore for the duration of the game session and is visible to other players in the same room. It is not linked to any personal account.
During online multiplayer games, the current game state (piece positions, turn information, scores) is synced in real time through Cloud Firestore. This data is tied to the room session and is not used for any purpose beyond gameplay.
The app uses Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements. AdMob may collect and use the device's Advertising ID to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. AdMob's data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Firebase may automatically collect certain device and usage information (e.g., app version, OS version, crash reports) to help us maintain and improve the app. No personally identifiable information is collected through these automatic logs.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data to third parties.
The app integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
Online room data (player names, game state) is stored temporarily in Firestore and is not actively purged on a fixed schedule. Room data is only used during active game sessions. Anonymous Firebase Auth accounts may be retained by Firebase until deleted through their platform controls.
Asta Chamma is a traditional board game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation, and all online identifiers are anonymous. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
All data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit using TLS. We rely on Google's infrastructure security for data at rest. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
